“I’m doing this to show the building how much I love it, how much I love community space and how much I love this neighborhood. And I want to stop it from gentrification.”
The wedding is scheduled today between 1:00 and 4:00 PM. The public is invited and encouraged to bring food, according to Babylonia Aivaz’s Facebook page where a wedding invitation is posted.
However, the bride-to-be (the building) may not be able to completely be present for the wedding ceremony. Demolition crews have already begun their work. Bulldozers and cranes have already begun tearing down the bride-to-be.
