Whitney Houston Drowned in Bathtub? Overdosed on Prescription Drugs?
How did Whitney Houston die? That’s the unanswered question right now as Whitney Houston’s cause of death is still undetermined. However, one theory is Whitney Houston may have drowned in the bathtub! Whitney was reportedly unconscious in the Beverly Hilton Hotel bathtub when she was found. Hotel security was immediately notified who then placed a 911 call. According to police, Whitney had already been taken out of the bathtub when they arrived at the scene where several people were trying to revive her to no avail.
Prescription drugs were found in the room, according to TMZ. No illegal drugs (yet). It is possible Whitney OD’d on her prescription drugs and drowned. She reportedly partied hard the night before although no alcohol was found in the room.
According to TMZ, Whitney Houston’s body was removed from the room a couple of hours ago (LA time) and was taken to the morgue for an autopsy.
UPDATE: More details are emerging about what happened to Whitney Houston, and it appears that that she really drowned in the bathtub.According to TMZ, close friends of Whitney have revealed the circumstances inside the hotel room. Whitney Houston was taking a bath when the incident happened. Her hairdresser, makeup artist and bodyguard were in the room waiting for her to finish. However, they got worried because Whitney had been in the bathroom for an hour and it was time to get ready for the Clive Davis party. They knocked on the door and there was no answer. Finally, a female hairdresser went inside to check on her. She screamed at what she saw.
Whitney Houston was underwater! Her head was underwater while her feet were above on the other end of the tub, looking like she slipped. She was immediately pulled out by her bodyguard and CPR was administered. That was when hotel security was notified.
