Ticket prices for the Azkals-Galaxy friendly range from P2,060 to P15,965. No wonder they’re not selling. True, it’s David Beckham and the LA Galaxy playing against the Azkals but, let’s face it, they’re not exactly superstars in the football world. Beckham still has some star power but the team itself isn’t that well-known this side of the globe.
“Who will win the Azkals vs LA Galaxy match?” I saw this question online yesterday and couldn’t help but chuckle quite a bit. Duh? Who else? Unless the visiting team gives the game away for the sake of showmanship!
There have been big improvements in The Philippine Azkals’ game but I don’t think they have what it takes to beat a team like the LA Galaxy. Expect the visitors to play a softer, slower game. It is, after all, just an exhibition match.
