Today is not a good day for American Idol alums. After Scotty McCreery’s lip sync fail at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Lauren Alaina made her own mark on Thanksgiving. Lauren Alaina forgot the lyrics to the national anthem! Alaina flubbed the lyrics of the Star Spangled banner in the Lions-Packers Thanksgiving Day game.
Already visibly nervous before the start of the national anthem, Lauren Alaina stopped after “What so proudly we hailed, through the…” of the national anthem. Lucky for her, the audience continued singing so she was able to get back on track.
