USA Wins Women’s 4×100 Relay Gold (VIDEO): IAAF World Championships 2011

The American women, champions in the World Championships in 2005 and 2007, cruised to victory with a time of 41.56 seconds. Jamaica was second in 41.70 and Ukraine took bronze in 42.51.
Bianca Knight ran the first leg and handed off the lead she established to Allyson Felix. Felix maintained the lead of the Americans and handed off to Marshevet Myers who ran the third leg. A smooth changeover to Carmelita Jeter maintained the lead as the Americans brushed off a late charge by the Jamaicans. (VIDEO CREDIT: YouTube)
