UFC 136 Results: Edgar Knocks Out Maynard in 4th Round!

The UFC 136 fight results are here. The full results are posted below, including the outcome of the main events – the featherweight championship bout between Jose Aldo and Kenny Florian, and the lightweight championship bout between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

The Jose Aldo vs Kenny Florian UFC 136 fight was uneventful, there was nothing spectacular about the fight. Jose Also managed to win, doing just enough to defeat Kenny Florian via a unanimous decision to retain the UFC Featherweight Championship.

It was the Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard that packed all the punch, literally. The last of the trilogy fight between the two, Frankie Edgar had to win this one. However, it didn’t look like he was going to win in the first few rounds, certainly not in the first round where Gray Maynard almost ended the bout. But Edgar was able to punch his way out of bad spots in the succeeding rounds. But in the fourth, the tide turned.

Frankie Edgar landed a big right hand on Maynard that jolted the challenger. He then followed it up with a right to the chin that sent Gray Maynard crashing to the canvas. Seizing the opportunity, Edgar then landed on top of Maynard and unleashed a flurry of punches until the referee stopped the fight. It was a knockout!
