Mary Ann Ducos and Diana Jill Rivera arrived earlier today accompanied by Labor Attache to Libya, Nasser Mustafa. The rescued OFWs were welcomed at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) office where their families are waiting. Here they also recounted their ordeal.
According to Ducos and Rivera, they slipped out of the house wearing only pajamas and socks at dawn Monday and ran to a waiting Philippine Embassy car while their employer was asleep. They had secretly been in contact with a Philippine embassy officer who arranged for their escape. River said they made secret calls to a Philippine diplomat from a toilet in the house to arrange their rescue. The embassy officer later took them to Tunisia.
Meanwhile, the remaining 2 OFWs in the Gaddafi family household have also expressed their intention to be rescued. The embassy is now preparing another rescue operation for them. (VIDEO CREDIT: GMANews.tv)
