What colors of sheep are there? Do sheep come in pink? As far as I know, colors of domestic sheep range from pure white to dark chocolate brown only. There are no pink sheep. Wrong. There are pink sheep, in New Zealand.
Check out the pictures of pink sheep on this page. The sheep were dyed pink as part of breast cancer awareness week. However, the unusual color of the animal has proven to be a success to visitors that officials at SheepWorld new Auckland decided to continue having pink sheep in the in premises.
Now before any of you react violently, listen to this. Yes, they died the sheep’s wool with a pink dye but it is harmless to the animal. What SheepWorld officials used was food color that washes off when it rains. And one more thing, there are no adverse effects on the sheep. They don’t even notice their new wool color. Sheep are color blind so they don’t notice anything different.
