Tears as Gabby Giffords Resigns From Congress (VIDEO)

Tears flowed as Giffords, who was shot in the head in Arizona last year, made her way to the front of the chamber. Accompanied by Florida Representative and good friend, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Gabby Giffords pledged to return.
“Even as I have worked to regain my speech, thank you for your faith in my ability to be your voice,” said Giffords. “Everyday, I am working hard. I will recover and will return, and we will work together again, for Arizona and for all Americans,” she promised in her resignation letter. (VIDEO CREDIT: MSNBC)
