Snowboarder Uses Airbag to Survive Avalanche (VIDEO)

‘I felt like I was riding a mattress down the stairs,’ Meesh Hytner told Backcountry Access.
Indeed, that’s what the video posted below shows. Hytner was snowboarding down the mountain slope when the avalanche started. Several seconds into the avalanche, Hytner deployed the airbag causing her to float on top of the snow.
The airbag comes in a backpack thus enabling the user to sit upright during an avalanche. The backpack airbag also comes with an external shovel and probe pockets, diagonal ski carrying system, helmet carry system, waist belt pockets, lined goggle pocket, and a hydration sleeve.
