According to reports, Idol producers realized Ryan Seacrest is dispensable after American Idol continued its winning form even after Simon Cowell left. If Cowell is dispensable, then so is Ryan Seacrest. Producers think they can get a new host with just a fraction of what Seacrest is getting.
Ryan Seacrest has been host of American Idol since its premiere. For season one, Ryan shared hosting duties with comedian Brian Dunkleman. However, Dunkleman left after season one leaving Ryan to take the stage solo from then on.
