A new Canary island is forming. The new island of Canary Islands’ El Hiero is emerging from the sea as an underwater volcano spews magma from beneath the waves. Magma off the Canary Island of El Hierro has been spewing 20 metres high as the sea boils. Now, after weeks of eruption, a new island is forming. Residents are now debating on what to call the new island.
