Dwayne Wade was ice cold in the first three quarters of Game 5 as the Bulls, cheered by a hometown crowd, looked to extend the series. Wade, hampered by a shoulder injury, turned the ball over nine times and had shot just 2-for-8 from the floor before the fourth quarter.
But in the fourth quarter, it was a different story. Wade found the spark and, combining with LeBron James, led the Heat on an 18-3 run to the buzzer that stunned the Bulls. Wade and James combined for 22 points in the final period—the rest of the Miami Heat had four. Moreover, they were merciless defensively on Derrick Rose who was looking for another big finish to lift Chicago to Game 6. However, it was not to be. His last ditch attempt was blocked by James.
“We have some special players that, when we needed some big-time plays to save us, they were able to do that,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. (VIDEO CREDIT: nba.COM)
