United’s victory was courtesy of Anderson, Park Ji-Sung, Dimitar Berbatov and Danny Welbeck who scored a goal each with star forward Wayne Rooney instrumental in assisting two of the goals.
The MLS All Stars had numerous opportunities to score in the game but could not convert. David Beckham gave the MLS fans in the crowd one last thrill when he “bent it like Beckham” – free kick around the wall in the 89th minute. However, the ball didn’t quite get inside the post.
