Man Uses $1 Million Bill At Walmart, Demands Change, Arrested!
According to the Winston-Salem Journal, the North Carolina man went to Walmart and picked out a new vacuum cleaner, a microwave, and other merchandise totaling around $500. He flips out his crisp $1 million bill and demanded change. The Walmart cashier, of course, said his money was fake. Michael Fuller insisted it was real. Walmart then called the police and Fuller was arrested for using a fake $1 million bill.
The largest US dollar bill in circulation is $100. However, $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 bills were printed by the US government at one time. Although they are still technically legal tender, these high-denomination US dollar bills were last printed in 1945 and officially discontinued on July 14, 1969. As of May 30, 2009, there were only 336 known $10,000 bills in circulation; 342 remaining $5,000 bills; and 165,372 remaining $1,000 bills.
Michael Fuller was charged with attempting to obtain property by false pretense and using a forged instrument. He is in jail on a US$17,500 bond.
Reports say Fuller still does not have an attorney. Calling the attention of lawyers out there, Fuller may be willing to for your services if you have change for a $1 million bill!
