Man City Beats Tottenham 3-2 (VIDEO), Leads EPL Table
The first half was scoreless as both teams jockeyed for control. But in the second half, Manchester City quickly scored in succession. Samir Nasri and Joleon Lescott scored in a four-minute span and it looked like the Blues were on its way to another victory. But Tottenham quickly hit back and equalized – Jermain Defore opened the scoring for the Spurs with Gareth Bale equalizing for the visitors five minutes later. Suddenly, the complexion of the match changed.
Tottenham seemed more in control after Bale’s equalizer and almost scored the game winner after Defoe’s shot hit the far post. But that miss proved costly as Mario Balotelli converted a stoppage-time penalty minutes later to give leader Manchester City a dramatic 3-2 victory.
City now leads the premier league table with points. Manchester United and Arsenal are still playing as of this writing. (VIDEO CREDIT: YouTube)
