Japan’s Women’s World Cup Champions Arrive Home To a Hero’s Welcome

People all over the Japan and the rest of the world have praised the team for giving Japan inspiration in difficult times. The country is still reeling from the effects of March 11 and this victory is seen not only as an inspiration but also a testament to the Japanese people’s resilience.
With the FIFA Women’s World Cup gold medals dangling from their necks and the FIFA trophy in hand, the players shared another joyful moment as they ran the gauntlet of fans before stepping onto a waiting bus.
The women’s team goes by the name “Nadeshiko,” a pink mountain flower that symbolizes beauty and strength.
