iPhone 4S Arrives in China, Jamaica & 20 Other Markets January 13, 2012
With the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) on January 23rd, Apple expects brisk sales of its latest iPhone.
“Customer response to our products in China has been off the charts. With the launch in China next week, iPhone 4S will be available in over 90 countries making this our fastest iPhone rollout ever,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Aside from China, the iPhone 4S will be released in the following places on January 13, 2012: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guam, Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and Uganda.
The release of the iPhone 4S in China will, hopefully, ease the demand in Hong Kong. The new iPhone has been out of stock at the Hong Kong Apple store for quite some time now. Based on our surveys, the iPhone 4S is cheapest in Hong Kong in the region.
