Discovery Perlas Pilipinas Cagebelles Win SEA Games Silver Medal

Discovery Perlas Pilipinas was sweeping its opponents aside in the eliminations, and hope was high that it was on a gold medal run. However, the mighty Thais stopped their win streak by two measly points in the semifinals, 75-73, in overtime. Thailand eventually won the gold medal.
Though disappointed with that semifinal result, the Pinays held their heads high. Their silver medal finish is an improvement from the Philippines’ past results in the SEA Games. Two years ago, the Pinays won the bronze.
