Despite protests from the defense, the prosecution continued to present documentary evidence and witnesses to build a case of ill-gotten wealth against Chief Justice Renato Corona. Copies of the titles and deeds of sale to more than 40 properties were presented by the registers of deeds of Taguig, Marikina and Quezon cities. But the prosecution will not stop with these titles and deeds. They plan to go after Corona’s bank accounts next.
But the defense argues that this should not be the case as Article of Impeachment No. 2 deals only with the Chief Justice’s failure to publicly disclose his SALN. (VIDEO CREDIT: GMA News)
