Cebu Pacific Canceled Flights Dec. 17 Due to ‘Sendong’
Tropical storm ‘Sendong’ continued on its path through Mindanao. As a result, Cebu Pacific canceled flight to the area. Cebu Pacific announced canceled flights to as bad weather conditions may put the safety of its passengers at risk. Cebu Pacific reiterates that while the flight cancellations may pose inconvenience to its customers, safety is their top priority.
The canceled flights are as follows (as announced it it Facebook account):
- 5J-625 and 5J-626: Manila to Dumaguete and back
- 5J-781 and 5J-782: Manila to Ozamiz and back
- 5J-711 and 5J-712: Manila to Catarman and back
“Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Fund without penalties,” the announcement said.
Meanwhile, at least 40 people have been reported dead and 260 others missing due to flash floods caused by heavy rain from Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) in Iligan City in Mindanao.
