Alabama is the 2012 BCS Champion. The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the LSU Tigers in the 201 BCS final to win their second BCS championship in three years is a match of defensive tactics that was decided by only one touchdown and five field goals. Trent Richardson scored the only touchdown after breaking free in the 4th with: remaining with a 34-yard run.
The top two defensive teams in college football lived up to their billing in this BCS final. Alabama and LSU met once before this season in what was a preview of this championship.
